In celebration of the opening weekend of “Theaster Gates: Young Lord and Their Traces,” daily activations of A Heavenly Chord (2022) will feature members of The Black Monks playing the organ on the Fourth Floor. Gates’s musical collaborators, The Black Monks are inspired by the music traditions of the Black South and East Asian monastic customs. Free with Museum admission.

Tickets
The program will be presented onsite at the New Museum, free with Museum admission. Vaccination and masks are strongly recommended, but not required to enter. Please review the New Museum’s COVID guidelines in advance of your visit.
